A new route to the heart.

Corami™ is establishing the intrapericardial route for the treatment of heart disease. By localizing therapeutics within this unique compartment surrounding the heart, our system enables precise delivery of cardiovascular therapeutics while reducing systemic exposure and toxicity.

Our integrated system overcomes one of the greatest challenges in cardiovascular medicine by targeting and localizing therapeutics to the heart for controlled release. Our mission is to improve existing therapies, enable entirely new treatment approaches, and ultimately enhance outcomes for millions of patients with heart disease.

THE PROBLEM

Systemic Therapeutic Delivery for Heart Disease

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death and accounts for more than $550 billion in annual U.S. healthcare spending. Yet the development of new therapies has lagged behind the growing disease burden.

A major barrier is delivery. The heart receives only a small fraction of systemic blood flow, making it difficult for therapeutics to reach effective concentrations in cardiac tissue without increasing exposure throughout the body. As a result, many promising drugs, biologics, and genetic medicines face significant challenges in treating cardiac disease.

With cardiovascular disease projected to affect more than 60% of Americans by 2050 (AHA), technologies that enable efficient, targeted delivery to the heart have the potential to unlock a new generation of transformative therapies.
